Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Anil Joshi, MLA North Amritsar, Punjab

Anil Joshi is a Member of Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) from Amritsar (North) constituency. He was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly Punjab in 2007. Hailing from the family of Swayam Sewaks, his father Late Sh. Kishori Lal Joshi was a Punjabi teacher in a school located in village Baghrian of Distt. Tarn Taran.

His father Sh. Kishori Lal Joshi was a renowned face in the area who strongly stood for the cause of Hindu-Sikh unity. Even in the hey-days of terrorism, he worked extensively for cementing the age-old bond between the two communities. He used to appeal the disgruntled youth from time to time to give-up arms and join the mainstream. Due to his fearless voice against the terrorism and RSS background, he was assasinated by the terrorists. Thus, he sacrificed his life while upholding the Hindu-Sikh unity and integrity of the nation and joined the martyr's abode in 1991.
Following is the list of Development works initiated or completed by Anil Joshi.
